Connecting Google Analytics

Connecting Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to Opteo allows Opteo to analyse performance using richer behavioural and conversion data from your website. This helps produce more meaningful insights, stronger reporting, and better recommendations.

Why connect Google Analytics?

Connecting GA4 gives Opteo access to post-click performance data from your website. While Google Ads shows what happens inside the ad platform, GA4 shows what happens after someone clicks your ad.

With GA4 connected, Opteo can:

  • Provide deeper performance insights by combining ad data with on-site behaviour

  • Improve reporting analysis using sessions, engagement, and conversion data

  • Help Fin answer more advanced questions about performance trends and user behaviour

  • Strengthen cross-platform attribution so you can better understand how ads contribute to conversions

  • Power richer recommendations and diagnostics when analysing account performance

Important things to know

  • You can connect one Google Analytics account, property, and data stream per ad account.

  • If you need to change the property or data stream later, you can disconnect and reconnect at any time.

How to connect Google Analytics & edit your connection

  1. Open your ad account in Opteo.

  2. Click Settings at the bottom of the page.

  3. Scroll down to the Google Analytics section.

  4. Click Connect Analytics.

  5. Choose the Google account that has access to your GA4 property.

  6. Select the GA4 property and data stream you want to connect.

  7. Click Connect to Opteo.

You can also Edit the connection (choose another property or view), or Disconnect your Analytics account and start over again.
