Why does this matter?
Opteo pulls in all the conversion actions from your ad account (for Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, that includes both primary and secondary actions), but not all of them matter equally to your business.
Conversion action selection is available for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads accounts. LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads accounts don't have this setting.
By selecting the actions that actually count:
You avoid inflated or misleading conversion totals
Opteo reports are cleaner and more focused
You reduce discrepancies between Opteo and your ad platform
Tip: Try to match what you’ve marked as "Included in conversions" in Google Ads for consistency.
How to configure them
If you didn't select the right conversions actions during account setup, don't worry. You can change them in the ad account's Settings:
Open the ad account in Opteo
Click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand menu
Scroll to the Conversion Actions section
Click the pencil icon
Review the list (you’ll see name, count, value, type)
Select the ones that reflect your business goals
Click Save Conversion Actions
The conversion actions you select here are the ad account's defaults. Every campaign group uses them unless you choose different conversion actions for a specific group on the Targets page. See Targets, Campaign Groups and Conversion Actions for how to do that.
Zero Conversions alerts only watch the conversion actions selected here.
