When Opteo suggests adding a new keyword based on a search term, the default match type is set to phrase match.

However, if your Broad match keyword settings are enabled in Google Ads, it could potentially prevent Opteo from adding new keywords using either a phrase match or an exact match.

To check if you have this setting enabled, follow these steps:

1. Open your Google Ads account

2. Navigate to the desired campaign

3. Click on "Settings"

4. Scroll down to the section labelled "Broad Match Keywords"

5. Verify whether the settings are set to ON or OFF

If the setting is turned on, your campaign is restricted to using only broad-match keywords.

To resolve this, you have two options:

1. Turn off the "Broad Match Keywords" setting in your Google Ads account.

2. Alternatively, when adding a new keyword in Opteo, make sure to select 'Modify Keyword' and switch the match type to broad match before applying it.
