Account Groups are perfect if you manage a mix of ad accounts — whether that's across channels, clients, or regions. You can bundle related ad accounts into groups (like folders).
There are huge benefits of grouping:
See KPIs, spend, and budget pacing of related ad accounts side-by-side
Add target statements, brand terms, and competitor names to power AI insights
Pin your top group, for quick access
When you first connect accounts, they'll appear in an ungrouped list. Creating groups brings structure to that list and makes it easier to manage.
Important: Any account groups you create will be visible across your whole team.
Creating a new Account Group
Go to the Account Centre.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Create Group.
Give the group a clear name and choose a colour.
Search for the accounts you want to include and select them.
Click Create Group to save.
Editing an Account Group
After creating an account group, you may decide you need to remove an account from it, or add another account into it. To move an account:
What you'll see inside each Account Group
Each account row displays:
Selected performance metrics (Spend, Conversions, CPA, ROAS, or Value)
Goal progress bar
Budget pacing indicator
Number of open issues & improvements
Last active date
Pinning Account Groups
To keep a key portfolio visible:
Click Settings in the top-right corner
Under Pinned Account Group, select the group you always want at the top
Account Group settings
Each account group has its own settings, which you can access by clicking Group Settings on the right. From there you can:
Rename or recolour the group
Add a target market statement, brand terms, and competitor domains to fuel AI
Connect Google Analytics
Delete the group (only once all accounts have been moved elsewhere)
AI context and Chat
The AI context fields you set in Group Settings are automatically included in every AI Chat conversation for accounts in that group. You don't need to repeat this information in each Chat — it's always there in the background.
The four fields that feed into Chat are:
Target market — a description of who the account is targeting. Helps Chat frame recommendations in the right business context.
Brand terms — your brand keywords. Helps Chat distinguish branded from non-branded performance.
Competitor domains — the domains of your main competitors. Gives Chat competitive context when analysing performance or making suggestions.
Account structure overview — a plain-language summary of how the account is set up. This is generated automatically by Opteo using AI, so you'll have something useful by default even without manually filling it in. You can review and edit it in the individual ad account's settings.
The first three fields are set at the group level and apply to every ad account in the group. The structure overview is set at the ad account level. If an ad account has its own values set, those take priority over the group-level settings.
The more complete and accurate these fields are, the more useful Chat's responses will be. Even a short target market statement and a few brand terms make a meaningful difference.
