This guide explains how to edit the settings, goals, and preferences for the Google Ads accounts (referred to as "clients") you manage in Opteo.

We use the term "client settings" to distinguish them from your Opteo account settings (such as passwords and profile pictures).

To edit your client settings, go to your Account Centre, select the desired Google Ads account, and click on Settings in the top right corner.

Here, you’ll find the following options:

  • Active Improvement Types. Choose the improvement types you'd like to see for this client. Note, this won't affect the improvements your teammates see for the same client.

  • Performance Mode. Choose between CPA or ROAS mode to have Opteo optimise towards either metric.

  • Conversion Actions: Choose your preferred conversion actions, ideally the ones that are most important to your business, so we know which actions to include as default in your performance metrics.

  • Performance Goals: Set your performance goal preferences.

  • Alert Settings. Mute email or Slack notifications for this client.

  • Display Name. Change the name used for this client in Opteo – this doesn't affect anything in Google Ads.

  • Account Budget. Set a monthly budget for the client.

  • Timezone Settings. Choose a timezone for the client – by default, this client's search engine page previews are based on the timezone set in Google Ads.

  • Connection Settings. Choose which email address appears in the Change History of Google Ads for this client.

  • CPI Override. Prevent Opteo from using click-through rate to compare ad performance for Pause Ad tasks.

  • Account Colour. Choose the colour for this account.
