While using Opteo, you will frequently encounter references to Google Ads entities, like campaigns, ad groups, and keywords. By default, Opteo shows the name of the entity and its given type. With deep linking enabled, clicking on these entities will open the corresponding Google Ads page in a new tab, where available.

In Google Ads, each account has an attribute called an OCID, which is necessary to construct deep links to Google Ads. Unfortunately, there is no way for Opteo to retrieve this attribute from Google Ads directly, nor is it shown explicitly in the Google Ads UI.

To find an account’s OCID, you will need to log in to Google Ads and navigate to said account. Then, in the URL, copy the string of numbers that come after ocid=, like so:

In Opteo, open up the corresponding account, go to the Settings page, and navigate to the Enable Deep Linking section. Paste the OCID in the input field provided, and use the Test OCID button to make sure you are directed to the correct account in Google Ads. If everything is working as intended, press Save Google Ads OCID to confirm.

From now on, the entities you can click will be identified by a link icon positioned to the right of the entity. Clicking on these entities will take you to the corresponding view in Google Ads. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact support.
